
Uganda Digital Society and National ICT Innovation Hub collaborate to strengthen Uganda’s Digital Innovation Ecosystem
The Uganda Digital Society (UDS) has entered into a strategic partnership with the National ICT Innovation Hub (NIIH), under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, to contribute towards ongoing efforts transforming Uganda’s innovation landscape and the country’s digital transformation journey. Together, this collaboration will strengthen Uganda’s position as a regional hub for ICT-driven innovation and entrepreneurship.
Uganda’s youthful population continues to shape the nation’s digital future demonstrating resilience and creativity in areas such as fintech, e-commerce, health tech and agritech infused with Artificial Intelligence. To complement ongoing efforts, the UDS–NIIH partnership brings value add by:
• Expanding skilling and mentorship programmes to deepen technical expertise and entrepreneurial leadership.
• Strengthening incubation, acceleration, and workspace opportunities at the Hub.
• Leveraging national and international networks to create new pathways for Ugandan startups to scale regionally and globally.
• Enhancing professionalism and ethical standards in the digital sector to build greater trust and credibility.
Speaking at the signing, Mr. John Ssenkeezi, President of UDS said:

The National ICT Innovation Hub, established by the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, is a flagship facility supporting Uganda’s innovation ecosystem. Located in Nakawa within the UICT campus, the Hub offers innovators and startups with co-working space, high-speed internet, mentorship and business advisory services thereby creating a conducive environment to spur innovation. This partnership builds on those achievements, positioning Uganda as Africa’s Business Process Outsourcing and innovation powerhouse in line with Uganda Vision 2040, the Digital Transformation Roadmap and National Development Plan IV.
